Affordable Energy Transition: technological solutions and socio-economic constraints

The yearly 2-week Energy PhD School will take place at Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU) and Zhejiang University (ZJU) in Hangzhou between 12 and 25 August 2019. The theme of the PhD school this year is “Affordable Energy Transition: technological solutions and socio-economic constraints”. Students will have lectures, excursions and project work in an international working environment where students will come from European Universities as well as Chinese Universities. Expert Professors from Shanghai Jiaotong University, Zhejiang University, KTH Stockholm and TU Eindhoven will give selected high-level lectures on the current and foreseen Sino-European pathways towards a fully renewable energy supply within the context of societal acceptance and economic constraints. Accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner are included for students. Travel to China and transfers from Shanghai to Hangzhou, should be paid by the students or their home departments. The course renders 4.0 ECTS credit points. All CLUSTER students are eligible to the School. Students will be selected based on their application.
